The Fantasia is a performance consisting of a fair amount of horsemen and horsewomen racing fast synchronically in one direction. At the end of the charge, the group simultaneously fires gunpowder from muzzleloaders or muskets into the sky. This performance is common to the Maghreb region and sub-Saharan countries such as Niger and Mali. This cultural act is performed by Arab and Berber communities during weddings and cultural festivals and aims to show attachment to the culture.
