Las Fallas

Every March since 1784, the city of Valencia comes alive with the celebration of Las Fallas, when hundreds of giant paper sculptures are placed in the streets of the city. Then, the detailed paper sculptures which have been built throughout the year are ranked. Finally, on the last night, the paper sculptures are all burned in large bonfires, except the few which have been considered the best Fallas of the year and which will then be displayed at the Valencia Fallas Museum.
