The drummers in Burundi traditionally performed in various ceremonies such as births, funerals, and during a king's coronation. The drum symbolizes power, wealth, and fertility. This practice has been passed on to future generations and is currently a Burundi cultural attraction performed by Burundians dressed in clothes that correspond to the colours of the Burundi National flag to promote and celebrate the country's culture and identity.
