Voodoo

Originating in the city of Ouidah in the south of Benin, voodoo is a religion that celebrates the forces of nature and ancestors. Demonized by many other religions, voodoo was exported in the 17th century to the Caribbean and America through slavery. With more than 50 million followers around the world, voodoo tends to be a symbol of belonging and revolution.
